Deep Dive
First of all get all people on board. Stakeholder interviews and workshops, C-Level Offsites, collect all the insights, analyse every corner of the company culture and always ask “Why are we doing this and who was responsible for this? What are the real customer needs? How to align this with business goals?”
Expert Review
If you did your homework, set up your point of view on company structure, boundaries in terms of design vs business, peoples working motivation on all levels, fears or wrong attitudes against innovative movements. Set up the infrastructure for communication and collaboration.
Setting the stage
Collect, combine and align all pillars by reducing hierarchy and the fear to speak open. Take the responsibility for that and make sure that you are eligible and trustworthy to tell people the truth, because fear of not getting the next pay raise is the reason for almost every employee for not telling his truth.
Enlightment & Empowerment
Set up an environment in which everyone is proud to be a part of. Set up a mindset of nonconformity, curiosity and trial&error. People must have the chance to fail (fail fast, remember?) without fearing the next salary negotiation. Improve the company culture by improving every single employee’s mindset to design principles. Example: If every employee is motivated, the company culture will be realized as highly motivated.
The foundation - people first
Operating UX strategically in the company means breaking down old silos and recognizing new values that align teamwork with. A company has to realize that UX Strategy is not based on the product or tools, it is based on two facts:
- The quality of Employees
- How teams work together
Company Culture
Motivate, aligne, discuss, help, lead, guide, aks, perform. Communication is the key factor for successful business with faster results and right things for the right impact. Remember that the product is made of employees. If they are motivated the whole environment will be as well, including company culture, business, product and customer satisfaction.
